Many are worthy of further detailed cleaning (perhaps even a water-pic). A clear-coat of one type or the other will result in a 'wet-look' which accentuates the different colors of the various types of stones naturally bonded together. Clear-coating will also retain the integrity of the sedimentary stone helping to avoid disintegration. Finally, Mounting on a decorative display-pedestal will finish these works of art for now they become 'viewing-stones'.

Of-course these creations are also quite attractive as artistic accents in Bonsai Landscape arrangements or Penjing.

These formations are a combination of different types of both igneous and sedimentary solidified earth which is bonded to and settled within each-other. Many contain tiny pockets of crystal known as geodes. All are worth a good hard look.
